RAPPERHOLIC 2020- “Point Well Made” – Review

The 2020 edition of the much anticipated Rapperholic Concert ,headlined by Ghana’s most decorated rapper Sarkodie came off on Christmas Day at the Grand Arena ,AICC and below is a short review of the memorable night .Before event day,we released our 5 expectations of this year’s Rapperholic and with these will the review be based on .

The biggest Rapperholic Stage Setup
It’s was evidently clear with and various dimensions of the stage Setup,as indeed this year had the biggest compared to previous editions.

Attendance: Nothing less than 2000
For an ardent follower and critic it is easily to say there was a drop in terms of attendance.Yet this was very understandable with two main reasons, thus ticket rates and COVID-19 effect . Yet the almost 2000 registered attendance were present to enjoy themselves.
No overcrowded audience (Different Ticket Rates )
For the first time in Rapperholic’s history the unpleasant experience of overcrowding, where lack of seats becomes the order of the day was completely off this year. The size of the auditorium with the proper seating made the magic .

Very strict but flexible Covid-19 protocols
Right from the red carpet, the strict observation of COVID -19 protocols was duly executed. But again it’s flexibility kept the excitement and free flow of happenings in the auditorium.

Top Notch performances
The strength and talking points of RAPPERHOLIC is mostly drawn from performances . From opening act Fameye,Kwesi Arthur,Darko Vibes , Akwaboah,King Promise and more ,while Kofi Jamar and Kweku Flick held high the Kumerican touch . With the headliner Sarkodie’s performance,it is a must watch and not to be described..

With the introduction of this face of Rapperholic concert with much respect to its rates, was an extremely high risk by Sarkodie and his team especially in these abnormal times . Would have been a very sad if it had gone sideways. Nevertheless the various teams involved delivered . Congratulations to them .
